Vintage 1934 Bulova DUNCAN Art Deco Very Scarce. Very Nice. Mint Dial Runs Well

Another extremely hard to find model, especially in the white gold plate version. Running strong and keeping good time +/-3 min. Extremely nice overall condition for a working wrist watch that is 87 years old. The case has light scratches and light dings on the back as shown in the pictures. The plating is very good with some minor wear near the upper lug tips. The dial is absolutely mint. There are scratches on the crystal which make it look worse but you can see the dial in the photos. A new crystal would make it look great. There is a leather band that will fit a small man's wrist or an average woman's wrist.

This was made by bulova to be a man's watch but also looks nice as a woman's. 35.5mm lug to lug. The movement is the correct, original, 15J with circle factory stamp. It is very clean looking and running strong.

The case has a serial number also showing a 1934 production date. Not easy to find one of these.

Antique, vintage watches are to be cared for. Winding should always be done in a soft back and forth motion so as not to overwind the mainspring. Also they are never waterprrof like the watches of today, even if stated on the watch itself. If drpped on a hard surface they may stop working from the shock damage. Sometimes a slight twisting back and forth may be need to give them a little jump start. Watches have many intricate moving parts and require cleaning and lubrication just like a car engine.
